As the promotion of chess in Guyana continues, the National Sports Commission sent National Chess Coach Wendell Meusa to Region 7 Cuyuni – Mazaruni in Bartica from the 4th – 8th June, 2016 where he conducted the Bartica Chess in School – Introduction to Chess Workshop. At the workshop, National Chess Coach Wendell Meusa worked along with Regional Sports Organiser for the Cuyuni – Mazaruni region Mr. Mark Ambrose, visited St. John’s the Baptist Primary School, Three Miles Secondary, Two Miles Primary, St. Anthony’s Primary (Main Building and Annex) and Bartica Government Secondary School.

Request For Expressions of Interest -Provision of Meals- workshop at NCERD

1.The Ministry of Education has received financing in the 2018 Budget toward the Provision of Meals for Teachers from Regions 3, 4, 5 and Georgetown Attending a workshop on Continuous Professional Development at the National Centre for Educational Resource Development (NCERD).

2.The objective of this supply is to have a high standard of dietary supplies with the daily nutritional benefits for the workshop.

3.The attention of interested service providers willing to participate in this Expression of Interest can be drawn to Section 5, Procurement Act, 2003, which forms the basis of this exercise.

4.The Ministry of Education now invites eligible service providers to submit Expressions of Interest for the provision of this service

5.In the assessment of submissions, consideration will be given to service providers that have submitted the following basic information:

a.Copies of invoices (with accompanying receipts) and/or contracts for the Provision of Meals (existing and previous)

b.Description of similar assignments/catering services,

c.Valid Business Registration

d.Company profile; including availability of appropriate skills among staff etc.

e.Valid Guyana Revenue Authority and National Insurance Scheme Certificates compliances (in the Business Name).

f.Valid Food Handler’s Certificate (minimum of 3 persons)

g.Valid Health Inspection Certificate from Mayor and City Council

6.This service will be for a period of (1) one week.
