24 primary schools to receive reading spaces

Numerous primary students in Regions Five and Six will now have a place in their schools to read thanks to a drive held by students of the University of Guyana.
On Saturday, sixty-two students graduated from the University of Guyana’s Institute of Distance and Continuing Education (IDCE) New Amsterdam Centre.

“A Guyana Still Life”

A display of Deaf art was unveiled at the National Library’s Conference Hall this morning. The artwork comprised pieces that were submitted to the Deaf Art Competition facilitated by the Deaf Association of Guyana Incorporated and the Minister of Education.
