1.The Ministry of Education invites sealed bids from Reputable contractors for the following items:

1.Extension of Building-Special Education Need Unit. EE 5.1M
2.Repairs and Maintenance-Upper Corentyne Industrial Centre EE 5.3M


2.Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures, specified in the Procurement Act, 2003 and Regulations, 2004, and is open to all eligible Contractors.

3.Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Procurement Unit, Ministry of Education, Lot 21 Brickdam, Stabroek, telephone number 227-0470. An inspection of the Bidding Document can be conducted at the above address between the hours of 8:30 to 4:00 hours on week days.

4.Bidders are required to complete and sign the bid Securing Declaration form.

5.All bids must be accompanied by Valid NIS and GRA Compliance Certificates.

6.The Tender document may be purchased from the Ministry of Education, Lot 21 Brickdam, Stabroek for a non-refundable fee of three thousand dollars ($3,000). The method of payment accepted will be cash.

7.The tender must be enclosed in a plain sealed envelope bearing no identity of the Tenderer and must be clearly marked on the top, left hand corner “Tender for (as stated above). No electronic bidding will be permitted. Late bids will be rejected

8.All bidders are required to attend a “pre-bid” meeting on the 17th April, 2019 at 14:00hrs in the Ministry‘s boardroom located at Lot 26 Brickdam Stabroek.

9.All tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 9:00 on Thursday 25th April, 2019. All bids will be opened in the presence of the contractor(s) or their representative(s) who choose to attend.

Ministry of Education Cooperative Republic of Guyana Request for Proposal (RFP/MOE (NPTAB): 02/2019) 

1.The Ministry of Education hereby invites eligible Consultancy Firms/Individuals to participate in the selection of Consultants with the Ministry of Education to undertake Design and Supervision services identified projects in 2019 through this Request for Proposal.
2.Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedure specified in the Procurement Act 2003 and is open to all eligible and qualified Consultancy Firms/Individuals.
3.The Consultant will provide Design and Supervision Services for the undermentioned Civil Works Project.

Rehabilitation of Building-Christ Church Secondary School

4.Prospective Consultants are required at this stage to submit their Technical and Financial Proposal for providing these services. The bidding document including a Terms of Reference can be obtained from the Procurement Unit, Ministry of Education Office, 21 Brickdam, Stabroek, (Tel#227-0470) for a non-refundable fee of three thousand dollars (3,000) each. A pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, April 17th, 2019 at 14:00hrs in the boardroom located at Ministry of Education, 26 Brickdam, Stabroek, Georgetown.

5.Bidders must submit (but not limited to) the following Document:
a)Valid Certificate of Registration (if not individual)
b)Valid NIS Compliance Certificate
c)Valid GRA Compliance Certificate
d)Brief History/Background of the Consultancy Firm/Individual

NB:All compliances must be in the name of the business for which the application is made and not in the name of the owner.

6.Tender(s) must be enclosed in a plain sealed envelope bearing no identify of the Bidder and must be clearly marked on the top, left hand corner “Tender for Selection of a Consultant for the Provision of Consultancy Services for……….(Insert name of project), Ministry of Education. Must be deposited in the Tender Box at the address listed below no later than 09: 00 hrs. on Tuesday April 23rd , 2019. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
