Hundreds of students from Sand Creek, Shulinab, Shiriri, Katoonarib and Sawariwau, Region Nine, have benefited from Government’s $19,000 ‘Because We Care’ and School Uniform and Supplies cash grants.
As the Government continues to roll out another one of its flagship initiatives, several cabinet members visited the mining town of Linden, Region Ten for the Ministry of Education’s “Because We Care” cash grant distribution.

Minister of Public Works Bishop Juan Edghill MP says the move to inject over $220 million into Region Ten through the ‘Because We Care’ and Uniform and School supplies cash grants is not a “fly-by-night strategy,” but shows the Administration’s sincerity towards the academic growth of Guyana’s children.
