(May 4, 2022) – The Ministry of Education in close collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport and the Guyana Football Federation on Wednesday launched FIFA’s Football for Schools (F4S) programme.
Today, the Chief Education Officer, Dr. Marcel Hutson conducted an empowerment seminar with 56 Headteachers of Region No. 4 with the aim of improving the performance of students at the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) 2022.
(May 3, 2022) – Schools at all levels are now fully reopened with the Grade Seven and the Year One nursery pupils turning out today for their first day of classes.
There has been a full return to face-to-face classes and Minister of Education Priya Manickchand says that schools may remain open during the upcoming July/ August break to help educators recoup some of the learning losses recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic.
