The Because We Care Cash Grant distribution began yesterday across Guyana with parents and guardians turning up at distribution points to uplift the $30,000 allotted to their children

Parents of students attending private schools are being assured that their children will benefit from the government’s ‘Because We Care’ cash grant on the stipulated date, whether they have paid school fees or not.

Over the next two days, students of the Cyril Potter College of Education (CPCE) will be participating in a training session under the recently launched Football For Schools Programme.

The Government of Guyana will distribute a total of 193,679 “Because We Care” cash grants and school uniform allowances, with an estimated cost of over $5.8 billion in 2022.
