Students of West Ruimveldt Secondary School received a packed barrel of school supplies from a successful Guyanese-American Politician who has always sought the opportunity to help at-risk youths in Guyana.

The Ministry of Education is continuing its efforts to strengthen the science laboratories in the secondary schools with regards to the safety and quality of these facilities. 

Seventy-five (75) young people from the North Pakaraima, Region 8 (Potaro-Siparuni) received close to $4M in grants to boost their already established businesses which include grocery shops, lumbering, furniture making, to chicken, fish and cattle raring and guest house.
