The Ministry of Social Protection’s Central Recruitment and Manpower Agency (CRMA) is working to secure finances to help students at the Sophia Night School pay for some of their subjects.

The Minister of Natural Resources, Raphael Trotman, on Friday last, donated floodlights and a sewing machine to the Wisburg Secondary School following a request for assistance by the school’s Headteacher. The donations are to improve facilities at the school’s sports ground and the home economics department.

The Education Ministry (MoE), through the National Center for Education Resources Development (NCERD), had graduated some 31 teachers in Region 6, East Berbice-Corentyne, following the successful completion of the Education Managment Certificate Course.
