As the new academic year gets underway, Minister within the Ministry of Agriculture, Vikash Ramkissoon, reminded students at the Stewartville Secondary School on Monday that their daily choices and commitment to learning will shape their future.

With schools across Guyana set to reopen their doors to students on Monday, Minister of Education Sonia Parag is continuing inspections of educational institutions to ensure that facilities are prepared to safely and efficiently welcome students and teachers for the new academic year.

Concrete drains are being constructed along Woolford Avenue as part of the government’s efforts to improve drainage and reduce flooding ahead of the reopening of schools.
