    Starting Monday, April 27 to Saturday, May 2, 2015 the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) will be hosting the annual CXC Visual Arts Exhibition in Guyana.

    Georgetown, June 30, 2017) - Through art Artists share perspectives about the world, express insights of the artist, interpret and assess the value of visual arts. On Thursday with support from the Ministry of Education, the Guyana Visual Arts Competition and Exhibition (GVACE) award ceremony was hosted at the National Cultural Center followed on by the opening of the exhibition at the National Gallery of Art or Castellani House.

    news 20171027 7The Ministry of Education’s Visual Arts Exhibition, which concludes tomorrow, has attracted teachers in the Visual Arts Stream from all ten administrative regions. On display were pieces ranging from drawings, ceramics, paintings, sculptures, leather craft, and fabric designs, at Castellani House, Georgetown.

    Objectives
    The Guyana Visual Art Competition and Exhibition is established in order to give recognition and support to the creative work of Guyanese in the Visual Arts, and to provide a source of inspiration to Guyanese artists, thereby stimulating the development of the finest expressions of the visual imagination among Guyanese.
