  • $1.8 million for Linden NGSA students

    On Sunday last, $1.8Million was committed to assisting two students of Linden, who gained entrance to top schools at this year’s National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA).

  • 2017 NGSA commences today

    Pupils across the country will from today commence the 2017 sitting of the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA). The scheduled assessment will be conducted today [Wednesday April 12] and tomorrow [Thursday April 13].

    The assessment is designed to determine where pupils are likely to undertake their secondary education.

    According to Hutson, although it has been ascertained that the private schools normally outdo the public schools, it has also been recognised that the private schools are really not that impacting at the assessment.

    With flooding in Guyana officially reaching a national disaster level that may persist until July – August, the Ministry of Education (MoE) is currently assessing to determine what alternative arrangements, if any, would need to be put in place for affected learners who are preparing to write national examinations in the coming weeks.
