31 Teachers now certified

The Education Ministry (MoE), through the National Center for Education Resources Development (NCERD), had graduated some 31 teachers in Region 6, East Berbice-Corentyne, following the successful completion of the Education Managment Certificate Course.

Education Ministry to pilot Grade Maker initiative to aid students’ upgrading

The Ministry of Education, Department of Culture, Youth and Sport will be piloting the Grade Maker initiative to improve students’ performance, based on individual needs.

This came out at a two-day data analysis workshop that opened today. It is a collaborative effort between the Education Ministry and Grade Maker. The latter is a United Kingdom-based assessment technology company that specialises in providing diagnostic feedback to school leaders to support improvement in education delivery.

The St. Joseph High School emerged the winners of the National Insurance Scheme’s 50th Anniversary Debating Competition as they competed against Queens College in the intensely debated finals held today at the National Centre for Education Resource Development (NCERD).
