The Honourable Minister Dr. Rupert Roopnaraine visited the Art Williams & Harry Wendt Aeronautical Engineering School at its Workshop Facilities in the Wings Aviation Ltd. Hangar, on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 to witness the reassembled Learjet 25 Aircraft that was donated to the School by Remote Area Medical for students to use as a Training Aid to further enhance the Practical Training Component of the Ab-Initio Programme.

Each of the four subjects written in the National Grade Six Assessment has two papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2). As it relates to candidate information, the two papers require different sets of information.
Literary, Theatre Arts and Music Awards Billed as Jubilee Highlights
The various Directors of each department: Sports, Culture, Entertainment and Education presented their overview of events that will be taking place to commemorate Guyana’s Golden Jubilee celebration.
Under the Jubilee theme reflect, inspire, and celebrate, a grand Golden Jubilee Youth Folk Explosion was staged on Saturday April 9 at the National Cultural Centre.
The Youth Concert, which attracted a significant audience, included sing-a-long folk music, dance, poetry and dramatic performances by schools, youth groups and dance companies that came together on one platform to showcase Guyana’s rich cultural diversity.
Thursday, April 7, 2016, marked the launch of Golden Jubilee Commemorative Stamps and First Day Covers to honor Guyana’s 50th Anniversary of Independence.
This event was held at the National Art Gallery (Castellani House) in Georgetown at 10:00hrs and hosted by Mrs. Michelle-Abrams Ali, where representatives from the Guyana Post Office Corporation, the diplomatic corp. and other dignitaries were in attendance.
The Ministry of Education wishes to inform the public that specimen papers were prepared and distributed prior to the commencement of the new term to all Regions to familiarize pupils with the new layout of the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA).
