Nursery to Primary School Registration (Georgetown)
The Ministry of Education advises all parents or guardians of children born on or before 30th June 2011, to uplift and complete registration forms from their respective nursery schools. Registration commences on April 4, 2015.

Nursery School Registration (Georgetown)

The Ministry of Education advises all parents or guardians of children born on or before 30th June 2013, that registration forms for admittance to nursery school in September 2016, can be uplifted from any nursery school within Georgetown. Registration commences on April 4, 2016.
Deadline for the forms to be returned to schools is June 6, 2016.

The Guyana Heritage Society and the European Union, in cooperation with the National Trust of Guyana, shall jointly produce a book on shared Guyanese and European cultural heritage. The publication will include a number of themes relating to periods of significant cultural or historical interest for the shared heritage of Guyana and Europe.

The Ministry of Education wishes to notify the public that all public schools will be closed for the Easter holiday from Thursday, March 17, 2016 and not March 18 , 2016 as previously communicated.

The early closure of schools is due to the holding of Local Government Elections on March 18, 2016.

Schools will reopen on Monday, April 4, 2016.

The Ministry regrets any inconvenience caused.
